A setup for me to protect the graphite shafts of my 917D2, 917F2 and 818H2s.

I’m puzzled when a useful feature disappears from one version of a bag to its successor. I have a StaDry deluxe cart bag which no longer has a trolley slot in the base. When playing a course with lots of undulations, the bag is very unstable on my Motocaddy trolley.

I like the umbrella sleeve, the rangefinder pocket and the moulded handles though and as always StaDry is a perfect description!

Definitely setup A. It gives the best protection for all shafts and for graphite shafts specifically. This way none of the heads should lie on the shafts below. I would normally have the putter down beside the wedges.

set up A for me aswell.

I have a stadry cart bag and go for the A set up but have the putter at the side

Clearly option A. Although when I carried 2 fairways and 2 wedges I preferred all woods at top. the putter was in the bottom section next to SW. It was in a png traverse. That said it had a great cooler pocket. Held 2 flasks so summer in 2018 with hear wave had plenty to drink and as the pocket was front and centre I remembered to drink at most holes ?!Just got the stay dry delux and that was my only concern. Happy to test drive the new version if you want any testers .

A is perfect for me just keeps the graphite shafts out of the way of the irons.A punter tube on the outside of the bag would be good.

A would be my preferred layout but the Sta-Dry bag I have has the Hood on the wrong way round so I have no choice but to set up with B?

My set up is a Mid Staff Bag with Metals on top and wedges on bottom

A for me also. I have just bought the Stay Dry cart bag and I must admit the putter well opening is a little small. It creases my Scotty headcovers which is no good for my OCD.

Option B
I've got a Staydry bag and the relative heights of the 14 slots dictate that set up as the back (strap side) is higher than the front (putter pit) elevation.
I use neoprene or PU head covers on all my irons to avoid both dings and damage to graphite woods.
Wouldn't really be able access clubs any other way, particularly on a buggy.

Have had to make repairs to the putter pit on this bag due to the material wearing away. I'd prefer an external (rubber?) pit but if it has to stay as it is, then rubber or more resistant material on the rim of the putter pit would be helpful.
The umbrella arrangement needs reconsideration. In my bag set-up, the handle of my Titleist golf brolly impedes the top bracket of my Motocaddy trolley and is fiddly to sort out.

Don't like to hunt for hidden irons, but I dislike beat up graphite shafts on my woods even more. Put me down for A.

Prefer "A" so don't drag irons over the woods/driver + easier to get long woods out of the bag

Option A for me too.
Woods/Metals at the top, working down towards wedges nearest the trolley.
I have the Mid Staff Bag which I prefer to a previous dedicated ‘cart bag’ for a number of reasons...
First is that it just looks good!
On a more practical note, it has a recess in the base which locks it in place on my trolley perfectly. Also, being slightly larger in diameter, the straps fit more snugly. The bag is fixed in place and I no longer suffer the dreaded twist...
The strap is wide and comfortable for the limited amount of time carrying it is required, but detaches easily - I always remove it once on the trolley.
I’d like to see a drink bottle pocket on any future version as well as consideration for housing putters a little more easily. Not necessarily a putter well, but a design that accommodates a standard putter cover without curling it.
On the subject of club covers, please could you bring back the sock style that offered better shaft protection - and for heads too, as the new style allows alignment sticks to slip inside causing scratches. Putter covers are better with quality magnetic closures - Velcro just doesn’t last! And finally, please make accessories like alignment sticks, stick covers and more available globally...

For me A would be the preferred choice as the shafts of the woods get less clatter and I think easier access. I have 2 Stadry bags (carry and cart) which are both excellent.

After much thought A for me, I also think the other tweeks in my 1st post would help.

A is the better option I purchased a staydry bag this year and the carry strap is now on the back I feel the front is a better option there is better balance when carrying the front doesn’t get rubbed and you can hang towel laser etc onto the front rings

Currently B setup

A for me as it’s the best way, would prefer full length individual slots for all the clubs though. Have about 5 Titleist bags now after selling 3, maybe it’s time to purchase another haha.

Option A. The othe is a total rookie move.
