2001, I swapped out of my Lynx irons for a set of DCI 762s and shortly there after I picked up a 975J driver. Nothing but Titleist ever since!

Like many others, my first Titleist item was a ProV1. Then I bought a Scotty Cameron Circa 62 putter. Eventually, I bought a set of SM4 Vokey wedges. I didnt move to a full swing Titleist club until I upgraded my irons to a set of T100 irons. Since then I've added the driver, metalwoods, and a hybrid to complete the full Titleist branded bag.

Early 90's Tour blades. I was in sales at the biggest resort around, hanging with the "rabbits" of the Tour, hustling and gambling. Made a good chunk of money around Florida with those clubs. You had to be a big boy to score with those irons. The Professional ball changed everything after that. I've also had FootJoy top of the line shoes just as long, although the apparel was never comfortable to me. Still 100% Titleist to this day, other than an occasional fairway wood.

I was able to save and buy a set of DCI 981's my Junior year of High School in 1998; the first new clubs I'd ever received after growing up on hand-me-down Hogan blades and RAM cavity backs. I played them until 2018 - however sparingly due to multiple deployments. I've since upgraded several times, but I still have them and always will. I pull an iron out from time to time. They look and feel good at address, even to this day.

975J, loved that club. I got it just after the 975D craze.

High School Golf... in 1979 our coach's choice of ball for us was the Titleist DT with Titlist in red script. I've been using Titleist balls since then.

Working in the pro shop in the late 60's where we had a whole bag full of BullsEye putters and being totally confused as what worked best on the pro shop floor.

Oh lordy, the DCI's from the late 70's, my first irons (@ 12 years old). So many since then, but I miss them. Wish I had kept them, just because.

Started with the old DT Wound 90 golf balls for the longest time before switching to Tour Distance 90's and Professionals. The first Titleist club I ever bought was a DCI Oversize + sand wedge when I got a small bonus at work, then I got a 975D driver after snapping the shaft of my old Ram Big Eye Ti (serious upgrade). I had always wanted to be a Titleist player but never felt comfortable with the irons for my game until the T300's were introduced. From that point on, I've never looked back...

It was 1978 and I was going to Oregon on the GI bill and money was tight. At the course, I could buy 2 sleeves of Maxfli Red dots for the price of 1 sleeve of Titleist 90 balatas. I chose Titleist and by the turn had smiles on two of the three balls. Didn’t matter, seeing the ball take one bounce and stop made me a Titleist guy forever.

I was invited to go play golf. I had never played before. My boss let me use his extra set of clubs, I had no idea what I was doing. I walked into the pro shop and bought a dozen Titleist DT Solo's. I lost 11 balls by the time I got to hole 17. It was a short par 3, like 145 yards. I topped my tee shot about 15 yards off the tee. Then I holed out for my first birdie ever. And of course I sliced that last ball OB on the 18th tee. I didn't play golf again till 17 years later.
  13. Great question!

My earliest memory of using Titleist gear is using my father's Titleist Tour Models in the summer of 1982 at Green Harbor Golf Course in Marshfield, Mass. The bag was heavier than me, and stiff, and uncomfortable to carry. The driver and spoon were old school persimmon. The putter was an Acushunet Bullseye. My game was horrible that day, as I was not accustomed to those forged blades; however, I had a few really nice, spot-on and long shots. Even back then, as I started my golf journey I knew Titleist was quality gear. I still have dad's putter, but the irons are long gone.

Since then, I've only used Titleist gear. Currently, I have the T200 from '21, as seen in my profile. I have a set of the Titleist 981, with a 983K driver, that I use when I travel mainly to Nantucket to play Miacomet or Siasconet.
  14. My earliest memory of using Titleist gear is way back in the summer of 1982, I used my father's Titleist Tour Model at Green Harbor Golf Club, a public course in Marshfield, Mass. Fun course! Dad's bag weighed more than me. For the irons he had the 1 - lob wedge, and of course his woods were persimmon (the driver and spoon which made such a wonderful sound when you drove one), and his Acushnet Bullseye putter. I made a few great shots, and over all I had fun; perhaps not the best score. I knew even back then Titleist was quality gear! I think my sister has his irons, but I have the putter in my home office!

Nowadays I have a set of T200, TS2 driver and fairway. I have a set of 981 and a 983K driver I use when I travel to Nantucket to play Siasconset or Miacomet.

    Great quality gear!
