Rattling sound in wedge shaft

    Hey everyone,

    I recently noticed that my SM9 Wedge is sounding more like a rainstick. It has a rattle or something loose within the shaft. Any idea how to get rid of it? Or is taking off the grip and letting it come out enough?

    It's probably a little piece, or 2, of epoxy that is caught in the shaft. taking off the grip would allow it to drop out for inspection. you don't have to remove the entire grip. you could just cut a small hole at the butt end.

    If the grip was put on properly they most likely can blow the grip off and save it. Take it to the shop where you purchased it and have them check it. They can always put the grip back on.

    More than likely some epoxy has come loose. Take the grip off and shake it out. You may want to tap the shaft lightly on the ground to make sure it is all out.
