At 70 years of age, I thought I'd never get a hole in one, and then it happened on 12/18/2025. Calm day at Glen Ivy GC, pulled a 7 iron on the #9 par 3, elevated tee block with a greenside water hazard. The pin was in the back at 160 yards and I teed up my Pro V 1 and struck the ball straight in line with the pin. It landed about 12 feet short of the cup and rolled up, disappearing in the hole. I was thinking to myself, "Wow, that's looking good" when the other 3 in my group all said "it went in the hole!" Sure enough, I just got my first hole in one! Very surreal. I guess you're never too old to get that first one. What a wonderful day.
