Just wondering. I see that all of the major retailers have dropped the price of all GT Drivers by $200.00, even the GT1 which only came out a year ago. Fairway Woods have similar discounts. Isn't this a little early for price drops? Is something brewing with the Metalwood line?

It’s fair to speculate that the next Gen GT line will become available sooner than the previous generation by several months, given the discounted price to clear inventory. This should be exciting news for northerners who were always frustrated that the new releases were late in the season and they didn’t get much time to enjoy them before their courses closed down. Watch for tour seeding to get a better idea of when the new line might release to the public.

That's generally a signal that a new model is about to be released (similar to what we see with the price reduction for SM10 wedges)!

Titleist sets the price, so something is happening. Likely an earlier release as Dale said. That the GT-1 line is included may finally get the full line including the -1 released at the same time.

I think the move is genius timing. Yes. I think they want to get into the game a little early this year and release some new metals, but , with every competitor releasing drivers that are $650+ this is a great tactic to absorb some of the new driver business. I mean the #1 driver on tour is $450 why wouldn't you at least try it and consider.
