Curious as to what fellow TT Members are doing in the Canadian "off-season" for golf. For me it is a simulator golf league, working on my putting and daily weight and cardio workouts.

For me, I don't do much training. I will be getting to the simulators though and practice putting on my mat.

I usually do Thursday night simulators with the boys to keep the muscle memory and not tighten up over the winter. We also do a boys golf trip to get a break from the snow.

Once a week on a simulator then every 3rd week an hour with my instructor. Also have a month long golf trip planned in February.

They have two simulators set up at our course through the winter but given I am still working on recovery from surgery I will be focussing on my putting in the basement. Picked up a 4ft x 12ft putting carpet years ago and sliding the odd item underneath now and again creates nasty breaks that makes one start trusting the line once the stroke itself is solid :)

Hope your surgery recovery goes well. I remember that all too well as I had a full replacement of the left hip

Take care and heal well. I played golf too early (5 weeks) but I was going out of my mind

    Happy Holidays

As for the rest of the group in response to the question, I try to hit simulators to work on swing feels and its worked last 3 winters (went from a 13 to a 7 handicap) however take note of the simulators as they are not all equal and now I have an injury. Golfers elbow. Plus a very sore right wrist however I still work on the course (equipment mechanic at my course and going to U of G for turf management) and it's taken longer to recover this time unfortunately .

It's been KILLING ME I cannot practice this winter at all. quite frustrating Hopefully yjr elbow and wrist will get better soon

    Good luck everyone this winter

Take a couple months off to heal up. Hit the gym with easy weights and mobility work (I'm a TPI guy), and then will hit once a week indoors playing with gear and loosen up for a vacation round or 2. Lots of great simulators at reasonable prices out there to hit.
I will be putting all winter though in basement with Scotty Phantom!

I managed to find a range with heaters that actually work better than the ones at a hockey rink, so I’ve been hitting balls there when I can. I’ll jump on a simulator once in a while too, but it gets pretty busy. I’ve also been focusing a lot on physio and stretching — that’s helped me a ton in the past so when April rolls around I’m not pulling anything on the first few swings. I’ll also brave the winter days in the PNW if it hasn’t rained in a week — just bring older balls you don’t care about
