Hello,
My wife surprised me for Father's Day and told me to get new irons. I've never had new clubs. I'm 43 and a 14 handicap and hit my 7 iron about 150-155 and my club head speed is about 90mph. My previous irons were miz JPX EZ Forged. Played them pretty well but my iron consistency was definitely lacking. After tons of research I decided to get fitted at True Spec. The fitter had me hit my 6 iron then I tried various other 6 irons with different shaft options. The best one I hit was the Titleist T250 with Project X 5.5 shaft. I didn't opt to pay for True Spec to do the "puring" process to the shafts because honestly paying an extra $1,000 for that seemed ridiculous for an average golfer like me. Well I've played 2 rounds and been to the range twice and I can't hit these things. Tell me it will get better. lol True Spec has a 30 day warranty period so I'm trying to figure this out. I reached back out to the fitter and he insists that the fit is right for me. He also kept harping on the fact that I should have paid for them to do the "puring" process. Just looking for some guidance or reassurance.
