I’m very excited to have been selected to take part in the 2027 prototype pro v1 and pro v1x testing. I’ve been a member of Team Titleist for a little over 10 years and this is my first time ever being selected to demo any Titleist or Acushnet products! Hopefully I’ll be able to make it to the course later this week and put them through their paces and give my review of them shortly. Last round I played, I got the yips on a couple shots need to work on that before I start using the prototypes. I’d rather frustrated if I were to potentially loose any of them! Again, thank you very much to Titleist, Team Titleist, and Acushnet sending me these 2027 prototype golf balls to demo. I’m hope to be selected to demo more Titleist products in the future!

    Respectfully, Kevin Mitchell McDonough, GA

Delighted to be a recipient of the Pro V1x prototype. Hoping to get in three rounds over this long weekend, so they will get a solid workout. I will look forward to reporting the findings. Many thanks to Team Titleist for including me.

First round today with 27 Proto black, and so far performs well…as expected. As someone mentioned seems softer than my current gamer V1x, especially off the putter, even sounds softer. Lots of stop and drop power with wedges and mid-irons didn’t get a lot of roll-out on greens. Driver distance maybe modest increase but need more comparative shots and rounds to confirm any of these features. If this indeed becomes the new V1 then can’t wait to compare to 27 V1x. Hard to say if it’s any more durable still getting wedge blemishes with good clean wedge contact.

Keep the faith. USPS may be running slow in SC.
  7. Excited to test Pronto 27 Pro V1x. Great performance. It felt softer than the current version. Also the sound of the putter seemed deeper (less of a click). No blemishes . I am going with the same ball for the third round. Thanks Titleist.!!

Looking forward to trying the new 2027 V1x balls. Slightly softer off the putter is exactly what looking for. I used to the play the V1 which I I loved for chipping and putting, but the V1x was better for my ball flight.

I’m also excited to have been selected to take part in the 2027 prototype Pro V1 (Black No. 1 Prototypes). I’ve been a member of Team Titleist for since 2002! I recently switched to the Left Dash, but after playing the Black Prototype, I was thoroughly impressed with its distance off the tee for me, the way it held the extremely fast and firm greens at my home country club, and its feel with the short game. If this is the next generation of the Pro V1, I will definitely put it in play for 2027 and give it a real run. I feel honored to be a Titleist Ambassador. #1 Ball in Golf.

  13. The 2025 ProV1x is basically the perfect ball for me. I'm excited to see how it was improved and can't wait to see the reviews start rolling in.

Played the prototype X yesterday, performance was the same as the current X maybe a little softer with the putter and wedges spun a little more, It was great. Looking forward to hitting some side by side

Received a sleeve of each of the Red and Black Prototype 27. Thank you Titleist ! I was delighted.
Played both on a round of 18 holes.

I had a better game with the Black. More distance (8 to 11 yds) more. With the irons both performed well.

I liked both during putting. Very nice roll. Sounded nice off the putter face as well.
I had nice check up’s on pitch shots to the green with the black, and some rollout which I like.

I’d like to know if these are the new PRO-V1’s. I played as well with the black as i do with my regular game ball the srxn Q-Star ultispeed, which was surprising because I don’t think I have the swing speed for PRO-V1’s.

I play US Am Tour and could play the black

    Thanks again Titleist .
  17. Very pleased to be selected to try the 2027 prototype ProV1 and ProV1x! First time for me! Hope to be selected again. Thanks Titleist!
  18. I received the red number 27proto. Assuming that’s the ProV1x. I have played one round on Friday with it and will complete another round tomorrow. Keeping my initial comments to myself, not sure what the questions are in the survey, plus I would like more than 1 round to form more concrete feedback.

    Cheers!

I was on a golf trip in northern Michigan and came home to what is always a delight...unmarked white boxes from Titleist. I have been able to put three of the black proto 27 balls into play at my local course - Tecumseh Golf Club - and here are my initial thoughts: Driver and three wood distances are about the same as my standard ProV1x. I noticed a slight difference with longer irons...maybe a couple of yards longer, flying a bit higher while really stable in the wind. Spin with wedges seemed to be a bit more than my standard ball and I really like the feel off the putter. I have played one of the balls for 27 holes and the cover has held up very well even though I just recently put some new wedges in the bag with fresh grooves that typically scuff up the covers pretty well. Those new wedges could also be why I noticed more spin. In short, another terrific ball from Titleist and getting the opportunity to get access to these prototypes is another reason to enjoy and appreciate being a member of Team Titleist.

It's been a few years since I was lucky enough to have been selected to test out the Proto balls. This year ... my luck has come back. Thank you Team Titleist for giving me the opportunity to test out the Proto, what looks to be V1, balls again. I can't wait to get them on the course. As of now, I've been putting with them on the mat & I like the feel so far. Not a very loud audible click but also not overly soft either. If that makes any sense. It's not as firm as the X but not quite as soft as the regular V1. I liken it to the Left Dot, which I love. I only have 2 sleeves left of the Left Dot ... I'm afraid of losing them. LOL I hope I can get them again at some point. I"m looking to get out this weekend with the Protos, so I'll be back for some thoughts later. I also have to remember to scan the QR code & put my thoughts there as well.

I received some white box balls, and played one last week. My question is what do you wish me to do as was open box with nothing but two sleeves of balls.

    Thanks
